Some watch brands are built around a market gap. Favre-Bulle was built around a feeling. Alexandre Favre-Bulle, born in Geneva in 1994, developed his passion for watchmaking as a teenager and went on to graduate from the Ecole d’Horlogerie de Genève before spending three formative years at Rolex’s dial manufacturing site. That last detail matters more than it might seem. Dial craft is where precision meets artistry, where the first thing you see when you look at a watch is either extraordinary or forgettable. When Alexandre left in 2023 to pursue his own creative vision, he brought that standard with him. The brand was registered in the Geneva Trade Register in August 2023, and two years of design, development, prototyping, and meticulous refinement followed before the first collection reached the public in June 2025.
What Favre-Bulle makes clear, from the first glance at the Three Peaks collection, is that this is a brand with a genuine point of view. The three debut pieces, Sunset, Ice Blue, and White Peaks, each take their character from a specific encounter with alpine nature: the fire of a late evening sky above the Lavaux vineyards, the shifting reflections of glacial meltwater, and the silence of snow-covered summits on a clear winter morning. These are not just evocative names. The dials are designed to capture light through a considered interplay of grained, satin, and polished textures, with lacquer, steel, and precise angular inclinations working together to create depth from a restrained two-colour palette. The Three Peaks collection also earned recognition at the GPHG, with the White Peaks submitted for consideration, a notable achievement for a brand in its very first year. The underlying philosophy is simple and completely coherent: stop, be present, and savour each moment. For a watchmaker who spent years inside one of the world’s most demanding manufacturing environments, that quiet conviction feels earned rather than borrowed.
